A Couple More Jewelry/Trinket Boxes

One of my coworkers had a birthday in March, while I was able to make her a card, I was so far behind I didn't get to make her anything, I knew I wanted to make her a little jewelry box - she has lots of jewelry - and I wanted it to either have a shoe or a dog on the top of it. She loves the color pink so I made the base of the box in pink, turned out the shoe was just not working for me so I moved on and made a doggy. It took quite some time to figure out but I think he turned out kind of cute and she loved it - she said it even looks like her dog, that's a plus since I was hoping he just looked like a dog, let alone her dog. The other box is the third one I created this weekend, bird nest with three little eggs; had to make time for photo's.

Jewelry/Trinket Boxes

I absolutely love making these little boxes - I've created these with birds in the past but this time I used the "willow" paper strips - from Paplin - they have little speckles of brown running through them and created a little blue bird instead of the yellow one I've been doing. The whole thing has a nice nature feel about it. The other one is a new design, ladybug - I sketched out many months ago what I thought it would look like, and finally created it last night. I think it turned out cute. I have one more new design started so I'm off to finish that and will have that posted soon.

You Guessed It, More Cards....

Here are more cards from the 50 card custom order I just finished. There's still 20 cards that I need to get posted, those will have to be for another day. This shows a variety of birthday, wedding, and a floral.

Baby Themed Cards

I'm almost finished with my custom order of 50 cards, and because I've been quilling like crazy I've been slacking on my posting, so I'm taking a few moments to post some of the new baby cards I created. The mobile's and baby carriages are designs I first did in 2005, I've been wanting to redo them so this was perfect timing. As soon as I can get more cards photographed I'll get them on here too.

Balloons

This weekend I spent some time with friends at the locally owned scrapbook store Eclectica, it was their monthly crop and I was able to work on my 50 card order. I decided to work on the birthday cards, came up with a design and created that design in both girl colors and boy colors. I love how these cards turned out, they're so festive; I definitely need to add those to my shop later on. I have other cards as well but I need to take photo's of those, I'll add those soon though.

Floral Wood Cross and a Card

I received an order recently for an item I actually hadn't done in many years, my floral wooden crosses. I had originally found the wood crosses at Michael's, painted them and embellished them with colorful quilled flowers, and actually had them on my list of projects to do this year so it was just fate when I received an order for one. Here is the finished piece, it's so colorful and is just so pretty in person. I hope she's thrilled with it.

The card was created for a close friend/coworker who is leaving us. She's still working for the same company, just transferring out of state, we'll miss her although I know we'll still be seeing her from time to time.
