3D Quilled Little Girls

It's March already, I keep saying I need to update my blog and another week flies by. I actually took a small break from quilling, even shut my shop for a few weeks. I'm trying to find time to get back into it and wanted to try something new, 3D quilled people. I was on Pinterest and found a few quilling artists that I think are just awesome at 3D projects, very talented. Here are links to their websites.

Children's Birthday Card Order Part 2

Here are the rest of the birthday cards, I wish the photo's weren't so grainy; I'm not sure what I did to my camera the night I took them. The customer received the cards and she really likes them all, thought they were fabulous and that the rainbow cards were her favorite's. Awesome.

Embellished Wood Cross - Warm Colors

In my spare time I've been trying to build up my inventory for a craft fair I'd like to be in, in November. I went through my craft room to see what I had that I could work with to try and empty my bins, I knew I had large wood crosses - which I paint and embellish in multi colored flowers - I also came across 2 medium sized crosses. I painted them both white, on one cross I did flowers in greens, blues, and purples; the other cross I used papers in yellows, oranges, and pinks. They both turned out really cute and I was excited to have a couple of those done for the craft fair. A few days ago I received a convo from a gal on Etsy asking me if I had any crosses that were around 5" - 6" - which was the size of the medium crosses. I told her I did but I had already painted them and embellished them, and sent her the images, she thought the cross with the warm colors would be perfect hanging in her little girls room. So I'm down an item in my inventory but it makes me happy knowing it'll be bringing a little happiness to her little girls room.

Fringed Flower Pens

I recently purchased a quilling book by Alli Bartkowski, (of Quilled Creations) called Quilled Flowers. Really great book, gorgeous flowers. One of my favorite projects uses a pen, ribbon, and a fringed flower. I tried it and showed my creation to a few coworkers, they each wanted some. I used polka dotted ribbon in various colors and I love them all. If you purchase the book through Quilled Creations, Alli herself will sign it for you, an added bonus to such a wonderful book.

Custom Notecards, All Occasion

These little cuties were a custom order for a friend, he asked if I could do 4 of my little cards (notecards, I call them). He wanted two with flowers and two with balloons, just to keep around in case an occasion came up where he might need a card. I really like how they turned out, I may need to do some more soon.

Buttercup Yellow and Fushia Name Cards

I wanted to share my latest custom order I received through etsy, it was for 39 table name cards in yellow and fushia. The cards themselves are from Bo Bunny's Double Dots card stock in Buttercup Yellow and the quilled flowers are a fushia color, I wasn't too sure about her color combination at first but when I finished and had all of them sitting in front of me I thought they turned out so pretty. I worked with Jillian showing her samples of the double dot papers to help her pick a card color, she asked if I could preprint the guest names; which was absolutely doable; I hope she's just as happy as I am with the end result.
